Your info, kept simple.

Who we are

Northbound Sites is a small web design and build service run by Northbound Goods, based in Michigan, USA. In this policy, “we” and “us” means Northbound Sites. You can reach us at [email protected].

What we collect

When you email us. This website has no sign-up and no contact form that stores data. If you email us, we receive your email address, your name and anything you choose to include, such as your business name, your trade and town, project details or a phone number.

When you visit the site. Like every website, our hosting provider handles basic technical data so the page can load and stay secure, such as your IP address, browser type and the page you asked for. We do not use this to identify you.

How we use it

• To reply to you, give you a quote and plan your project.
• To build, launch and support your website if you hire us.
• To keep basic business records, such as invoices and project emails.

We do not sell, rent or trade your information, and we will not add you to a mailing list.

Cookies and analytics

We do not use advertising cookies or tracking cookies, so there is no cookie banner. We may use Cloudflare Web Analytics to count page views. It does not use cookies, does not track you across other websites and only shows us totals, such as how many people visited a page.

Cloudflare may set a strictly necessary security cookie if it needs to check that a visitor is not a bot. It is used only to protect the site.

Who else handles it

We only share information with services we need to run the business:

• Cloudflare hosts this website and handles the security and analytics described above.
• Our email provider stores the emails you send us.

We may also share information if the law requires it, for example in response to a valid court order.

How long we keep it

We keep emails for as long as we need them to answer you and work on your project, and project records for as long as tax and business rules require. If you never hire us, you can ask us to delete your emails at any time.

Your choices

You can ask us what information we have about you, ask us to correct it or ask us to delete it. Email [email protected] and we will reply within 30 days. We may keep what the law requires us to keep.

Sample sites

The sample sites linked from our homepage are concept designs for fictional businesses. Their forms are not connected and do not send or store anything you type.

Children

This site is meant for business owners and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

Changes to this policy

If we change how we handle information, we will update this page and the “last updated” date at the top.
